Need public domain maps

I need to find a map of the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. that I cause to add some graphics for use in a book. Obviously, I can  not use Google Maps.

Can you suggest any resource for either free maps or low cost maps where I could get a few different maps for maybe $20 or $30 each?

Thanks.

Glad to help!

My quick scan of the terms show that most of their data is public domain and just needs a proper citation. But of course, if you're using it for commercial use, be sure to check closer than I have :-)
