I was told that our client might need help with some ETL work where the ETL tool would be Talend. Beyond, that i am told that the source data will be Oracle. Does anyone know what i should download?

Just a thought ... if you're asking the question then you would appear to be not qualified to meet the client's needs.

Recommend adding the Oracle zone to this question.

Also, are you operating on a client pc or your own development box?  I'm not familiar with either Oracle or Talend's developer licensing, but accoring to Talend's own website they seem to have a trial available.   A couple of years ago I had an airline for a client that ran on both Talend and Oracle where they wanted me to reverse engineer feeds out of Talend and into SSIS, and other than installing both don't remember any special downloads needed.

Also the UI for Talend is pretty butt-ugly, but if you have any ETL experience with other applications you should be able to figure it out.
