Trouble determining specific hardware or software issue

The computer is an Asus TP500L.  It keeps blue screening.  The user hasn't sent me the exact error.

It's Windows 10

Can load something on it that might give me more info regarding what is wrong with it?

Not without the error message or more information.

Is the OS booting up to where you COULD load something?

You can try booting with the Ultimate Boot CD and run some of the diags  included such as memory check.

http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

Blue screens can be caused by bad hardware, bad drivers, bad memory, failing  HDs, etc.

I've even seen these get fixed by reseating memory, expansion cards, and cables.
ask him to send you the memory dmp file, and post it here for more info
you find it in windows\minidumps

ASKER

Is it a file or folder?
If it's a file, does it have a file extension?

I'm not seeing the file.
