We have a Synology NAS that is backed upto Amazon Glacier. If the NAS were to die, what is our options to get back up and running? What have you guys come up with that works well?

How are you backing it up? Is it an option built into the NAS? If so, they should have a restore option as well. (Sorry, haven't worked with Synology NAS before).
Basically, with that, you can set up on-site NAS, but have it replicate to Amazon S3. If the on-site system fails, you can bring up a new one (either cloud or on-site), and re-sync fairly easily.

Yes option is built into the NAS. Obviously if the NAS is broken, we cant restore back to it.
Should i get another NAS and have them 2 mirror each other?
An alternative I know of that works well: AWS Storage Gateway.
