Using isinteg or eseutil with Exchange 2010

I'm hoping to fix some errors with one of my users using either of these utilities to scan for and repair mailbox database errors.  Has anyone run into any issues or does anyone have any advice on running these?  I'm a little nervous about it since I've never done it before.

Thanks!

isinteg is deprecated as of server 2010. There is an online mailbox corruption scanner that will run against all mailboxes during the normal maintenance window. eseutil won't help you find mailbox corruption. It will just run checks on the database for consistency and help you run an offline defrag. In exchange 2010, you'll want to make use of the new-mailboxrepairrequest cmdlet in EAS: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff625221(v=exchg.141).aspx has details.

So I don't have to take the mail system offline to run this?
No. new-mailboxrepairrequest is an online corruption repair tool, but like I mentioned, it runs every night with mailbox maintenance, so it is not likely to find any issues.

I'm referencing a similar issue regarding this thread, which is why I was eyeballing the utility I mentioned:
