schedule a task to move files daily from different computers to a remote central computer

How to schedule a script in windows  to move files daily from different computers running windows 7 professional, windows xp and windows 10  and  not joined to the domain controller to a central location.

I would like to collect files generated daily on these computers and send them to one computer onto which they can be consulted. instead of end users logging on each and every computer, they will only be logging on one computer and get all the data they want.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Since you are not on a domain, you'll need a workgroup if you don't already have one.

Each computer must have  the same admin account to be used across all computers.

Having just one computer running the scheduled script(s) should suffice.

Collect files? I think a COPY, XCOPY, or ROBOCOPY will work.

This batch file will work. Of course you need to edit it and substitute server names etc. The first 5 lines create a new folder and enter in it. The next lines map a folder to a drive using username/password. Then files are copied and then drive letters removed.

cd c:\files
SET dirname=%date:~-10,2%-%date:~7,2%-%date:~-4,4%
echo %dirname%
md %dirname%
cd %dirname%

net use x: \\server1\folder1 /user:username password
net use y: \\server2\folder2 /user:username password
net use z: \\server3\folder2 /user:username password

copy x:\abc.log
copy y:\def.log
copy z:\pqr.log

net use x: /Delete
net use y: /Delete
net use z: /Delete

Is the remote central location another Windows 7 PC? Or is it server with FTP capabilities? Or is it a FTP server from your web hosting company? Will moving the files to dropbox business work?

For the remote central location computer, i can either use a server or windows 7 pc. However, the rest of the source computers can only use windows client operating system(windows 7, windows 8, etc) and they are not supposed to join the domain.

How can i configure this server to use FTP?

Also per the organization policy i am not allowed to use dropbox to transfer files.
