Hi, &nbsp; Both the old server and new server are virtual servers hosted on the same server and the site runs fine on the old server so not sure why I need to run the tool to find the slowdown as there is no slowdown on the old site. &nbsp;<br />

My suspicion is that it is a php or sql setting that is different on the new server. &nbsp;I was just trying to find out if anyone else had this issue and might be able to point me at particular settings to check that might be causing this.

If you don't know why you need to use the tool, then you definitely need to check out the tool!<br />

I think your instincts are good to look for differences between the two installations. &nbsp;You don't have to use YSlow; there are other tools. &nbsp;But use <a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=yslow" rel="ugc"><i>something</i></a> to profile the site differences. &nbsp;A Joomla response is a collection of activities. &nbsp;You at least want to know where in the collection the slowdown is occurring. &nbsp;In my experience, when a web site has performance problems it's always the I/O subsystem and in modern web sites, that is usually the database. &nbsp;Finding the source of the problem usually indicates the solution to the problem, but there are a lot of moving parts. &nbsp;Tools like YSlow can help us find out which part(s) are important components of the response time<br />

You might want to run <a href="http://php.net/manual/en/function.phpinfo.php" rel="ugc">phpinfo()</a> on both sites and compare the output. &nbsp;You might find that the faster site is <a href="https://www.experts-exchange.com/articles/18437/Improving-Web-Site-Performance-via-PHP-Cache.html" rel="ugc">using some kind of cache</a>, or has had its component files (JavaScript, CSS, etc) merged with <a href="https://gruntjs.com/" rel="ugc">Grunt</a>. &nbsp;You might find different <a href="https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/optimize-overview.html" rel="ugc">optimization steps</a> in the MySQL implementation.<br />

Sorry for the late reply I found the issue was caused by error_reporting configuration in php.ini. &nbsp;I changed to <br />
error_reporting = E_ALL &amp;&nbsp;~E_NOTICE &amp;&nbsp;~E_STRICT <br />

and now all ok.

I have a couple of joomla sites which I moved from an old server to a new server. &nbsp;They were running fine on the old site but when I moved them they are now running extremely slow - one site I have just copied as, the other required a couple of changes to the template as it was using &lt;? &nbsp;instead of &lt;?php tags but otherwise a straight copy. &nbsp;<br />
