Remove VEEAM BACKUP TEMPORARY SNAPSHOT
Remove VEEAM BACKUP TEMPORARY SNAPSHOT
I noticed even when the Veeam Backup jobs are completed, veeam still leaves snapshots on the Snapshot Manager of the VM.
Is ther any command line or script that can find ,on the Vcenter , all VMs that have VEEAM BACKUP TEMPORARY SNAPSHOT, and will delete it ?
Thank you

Contact Veeam Support, as stated above this is bug as well I have seen certain version of Veeam Backup that need some modifications required so the temporary snapshot is deleted correctly after every job.

Hi script is really good, but beginner like me I don't know how this will work? does it need to connect to host / vcenter server ? if you could revise the basic stuff that will help
If Veeam is leaving VMs running on a snapshot, then that is a fault!
Veeam should automatically, close and merge/delete the snapshot.
I would start to debug WHY this is occurring, Veeam is faulty!
PowerCLI/Powershell will show which VMs have snapshots attached, you can also use RV Tools, you can also set an vCenter Server Alarm.
