You need to install vmware host system network drivers. They are lost during failed update. On the bright side - all VMs are stored in your user profile and will come back after proper reinstall.

Today when I opened VMWare Workstation 12, I got a message about an update. &nbsp;I tried to install it, but it failed. &nbsp;The second time it failed again. &nbsp;I restarted and tried again, and for the third time it failed, so after closing and reopening VMWare I clicked the Remind me later link. &nbsp;But when I opened a VM, it had no Internet connectivity, and I got a message:<br />

VMWare lost network connection
