Outlook mail rule question.

I am creating an Outlook rule to move emails that go to a departed user's email address to a folder in my inbox.

The move works fine when the departure user's email address is in the TO field and CC field.  However, it does not work when the email is going to a distribution group that contains the departed user.

Any idea of how to fix?

Thanks.

Use advanced options to tweak the rule. You can use specific words in senders address.

If you are using exchange why not set the forward on the mailbox for all email coming to this user is forwarded to you

Sorry, let me explain again what I am trying to accomplish.

Let's say the departed user's email address is msmith@mydomain.com.  I already have a O365 mail forwarding and Outlook rule setup so emails to msmith@mydomain.com will be moved to my \myinbox\msmith.

The thing which is not working is if the sender emails to a distribution group email address and this distribution group contains msmith as a group member, instead of moving the mail to \myinbox\msmith, the rule moves the mails to \myinbox.

Thanks.
