Outlook locking up upon folder selection

I have a rather weird issue and after the posted solutions I seem to be stuck.  I have 2 mailboxes out of 25 that when the user selects the deleted folder outlook 2016 freaks out and starts madly flipping between deleted, junk email, and what looks like drafts rapidly to the point it is non-responsive.  When I get the microsoft error detail is states apphangb1. Using a Exchange 2013 onsite server.
I have completely uninstalled (using Microsoft removal tool) and reinstalled office(as admin), setup the mailbox profiles twice, change file storage folder(made sure the folder and user had admin privileges and local admin rights on the computer.  mailbox does the same thing on another computer.

Any help would be great, really frustrating.
