i didnt know much. about it. i never performed this kind of activity before.

i am working on vsan environment. and i have been told to update patch. fro vcenter and esxi too
currently my vsphere version is 6.0 u2.

and due to some miss happening technical support engineer told me that i should upgrade the patch and at the same time should update drivers of controller to hpsa 6.0.0.118-1oem.

if that is not the right answer for your question please ask me in some other way. may be i will be able to explain you better.
Okay, so you currently have 6.0 u2, is could be build - Build 3620759 ?

You can confirm the build by looking at the Summary information with the vSphere client.

but you need to clarify which build (patch) you need to upgrade to ?

as there are 8 patches after that build you currently have, or update to the very latest (Build 5050593), which is Update 3 released in Feb 2017.?
okay andrew i will check the build number. and get back to you as soon as possible. thanks. once i will collect the whole information i will tell and i have one more question. thanks for helping me. will reply asap.
hi andrew as per the vmsupport i have to upgrade this to 6.0 u2 patch 4. and i also have to install the hpsa drivers to 6.0.0.118em fw:4.02  these are drivers for controller if i am not wrong.

and yes for the build number you were right. the build number is exactly same.

we now my question is how to start this upgrade. what first i have to do to do this. do i have to upgrade the vcenter first or what.

please tell me how can i start this and at the same time if you have any link for this please provide.
i know how to install drivers. but i never did this patch upgrade. so please tell me the procedure
