Dell Laptop dropped and Network plug or wireless don't work now
wireless seems to have all drivers but cant turn on to find networks
Tried cable and it doesn't register as plugged in. External wifi usb works
great. What could of happed.

Tried another cable and wired does work. When I try to use wireless the airplane mode comes
on and I cant turn it off Does this change anyones thoughts so far

If that's the case try what itfocus said. If that does not work, try removing the adapter from device manager and then refresh and let it reinstall. Lastly, turn over the laptop and see if you can get access to the wireless adapter and reseat it either to the wires or ribbon cable depending on how its connected.
Have you checked to see if your network cards show up as disabled in the Device Manager? On your laptop, there is possibly a physical switch that can turn off the wireless network card. What model is the laptop?
Uninstall the driver for the wireless driver, clear it from the registry, reboot the computer and then reinstall and try again

The drop had damaged the Wi-Fi aerial and the adapter is on but won't discover anything
-> This can be proved by sitting the laptop on top of a Wireless Access Point and seeing if it can be discovered then
