Lync and Exchange Prompting for Credentials

We have a situation where both Lync and Exchange begin prompting users for credentials, though the users are properly logged-in to the domain.  This usually results in user accounts becoming locked-out.  Has anyone seen this behavior and found a solution?

This sometimes happens after someone changes their AD password and have their email setup on their phone.  The phone keeps sending incorrect credentials which locks the account out then Outlook and Skype start asking for credentials.  If this is only happening to a subset of people I'd remove and re-add their exchange account to their phone to see if that resolves it.

Hi Cmmcginn,

In Corporate LAN, Outlook and Lync should not prompt for the password even if the password is reset or configuring new profile.

To check it further, can you provide the more details about your exchange and Lync infra?

Server versions, Client Versions etc.? also is it happening for all users or selective users in a particular site??

We run 2008 and 2012 server. Clients are Windows 7, 8 and 10. To my knowledge, only certain users are affected.
