You can use Html.Label in lieu of Html.LabelFor

I hate to ask, but I also posted the following 2 questions and was wondering if you would be able to help:
1. I need help setting tabindex to textboxes in my MVC.Net application
2. I need help setting focus to an @Html.TextBoxFor in my MVC.Net application

Using jquery focus() should work.
e.g.
$(document).ready(function () {
$("#firstField").focus();
});
