"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you plan to clone only the VM, or the RDM disk also??

Even there is no answer to my question, I will try to reply to proper answer.

If you clone a VM with a RDM disk, this will create a copy of the RDM disk in the VM as a normal Virtual Disk(this will be created as Thick Eager Zeroed).

If you want to create a clone without cloning the RDM disk, after you clone, you can just remove/delete the RDM disk (remove from Virtual Machine and delete files from disk).
