I want to delete these labels you get when viewing a Google Maps map (place labels). What is the best way to do this and still keep the whole map intact with background colour etc.?
Could I do it by first using Windows Snipping Tool, then save as jpg image, and then open in Paint? But I think I would get the background colour distorted then. No way to do it directly in Google Maps?

If you close the side panel with the search results you should get "the whole map intact with background colour etc."

I still get these small icons with attached place names even after having closed the side panel.
I have a suggestion, use Yahoo map in Map Mode and Hide labels.
