We have VMware vCenter 5.1. I am trying to migrate a VM to a different datastore but getting following error-

VM Migration ErrorThe VM has two RDM disks attached and has two SCSI Controllers-

"SCSI controller 0" - SCSI Bus Sharing is set to "None"
"SCSI controller 1" - SCSI Bus Sharing is set to "Physical"

I want to migrate only non-RDM disks to a different datastore. Can you please help me with successful datastore migration for non-RDM disks?

I've few queries-

1. Can't we migrate non-RDM disks without removing RDM?
2. Do I have to delete "SCSI controller 1" as well?

Change the mode of Bus Sharing to None or Virtual.

You will need to power off the VM to do this.

Which you select, either none or virtual, depends on how you want to share with other VMs.

None - not share with other VMs.
Virtual – shared with other VMs on the same host.
