Windows 10 Pro - Sleep and Hibernate modes are immediately disrupted

Hello all,

I just assembled a new computer and new OS install (Windows 10 Pro) and I found that I cannot keep the computer in sleep or hibernate mode. When activated, as soon as the computer shuts down (with blinking power light), it immediately starts up again. In other words, the computer will not hibernate or go to sleep; it does power off though.

I have turned off wake on mouse and keyboard... as I was writing this, I realize that I hadn't disabled "allow this device to wake the computer"... so I'll check that tonight.

Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z270-A LGA1151 Kaby Lake

I have never had this problem before. Any helpful suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you.

Ramin, thanks. I should have mentioned that I tested various "power plans" but none of those changes helped.

I strongly suspect that it is the NIC setting that is causing this problem... at least, I hope that is the solution. :)
