Install SSL Certificate on Sonicwall NSA 2400
I purchased a SSL Certificate from GoDaddy. I created the signing request from the Sonicwall and uploaded it to GoDaddy. I received confirmation that the certificate was ready. I am now downloading the zip file from GoDaddy using the type as other in the drop down. I am now experiencing issues when I attempt to install the certificate on the Sonicwall. Can someone give me the correct steps to make this work. I keep getting errors when I attempt to install it. One error I saw was "PKI error, import failed".
also make sure you are running latest 5.9, as it's probably a SHA256 cert, and that's not supported on older firmware
ASKER
Thanks for your information. I have tried to import and I am receiving errors. It also is locking up the management interface when I attempt to install the certificate.
did you extract the ZIP?
Can you show a screenshot of
1) the CSR
2) the cert you were provided
3) error message
which firmware are you running?

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I am using a TZ-105W. I got a certificate from Gandi.net, two files one in .crt format and one in .pem format. I use the Upload Signed Certificate for Signing Request button, next to my CSR request to upload the obtained certificate.
When I try to upload the .crt file I get an error saying: Improper file format. Please select PKCS#7 (*.p7b) or DER encoded file.
When I try to upload the .pem file, I get an error message saying: PKI error, import failed.
I also used the "Import" button in System, Certificates, and using that I can upload the .pem file. However, the certificate which gets uploaded, is not validated and its characteristics do not match the certificate I was issued by Gandi, wrong start date and wrong end date.
Can someone help? I have no support from Sonicwall and I do not feel like getting any.
