Make sure firmware is up to date and Is installation happening through Lan or Local?
ASKER
It had windows 2008 on it . due to a virus I am re-installing the latest firmware is from 2011. and the update isn't bootable.
Best suggestion is use Hiren boot , Boot up your server using Hiren boot CD and wipe out Infected drives in the server and reboot the server and start install windows server 2008 freshly
ASKER
I deleted the whole drive through the installation wizard. and re-created it.
What is the error message you are getting ?

I am surprised you are allowed to recommend a pirated boot disk like Hiren's for a solution on these forums...
FYI
Hiren's is not a pirated Boot disk

if it is virtual re create the VM and assign sufficient resources while creating VM.
if it is physical make sure your server firmware is up-to-date.
