MySQL Upgrade Database

I need to upgrade an old MySQL Database.  Working on windows 10.  MySQL 5.7.  Older version of MySQL I believe is 1.4.

I have the files.  They are .MYD, .FRM, and .MVI.

I created a database in MySQL (let's say MyDbase).  I looked for the database to try to copy files in that folder and haven't found it.

Any ideas?

It looks like that would work IF I had access to the old MySQL and create a dump file.  I just have the files from the old MySQL database.

I did find the directory in MySQL of the database that I created in MySQL database.  I copied the files to that location but no luck yet.

Hi!

After copying the files to a database directory in the mysql data directory. Restart the server.
In the mysql console:
If you can see the table under that database then issue
check table thetablename

If your table doesn't show status OK then issue
repair table thetablename

Thanks.  I was able to get customer to export from the old database.  Trying to import into new database.  Lots of errors.  Over 300,000 lines of code.
