Hi Experts,
I am hosting a test environment.  I have installed the web certificate set up the bindings, website is working over port 80.  I can telnet externally to the URL of the website.  I can hit the website on https:\\192.168.1.1 albeit very slowly but I cannot hit the website over 443 from a browser.  I have tried removing the bindings and having blank bindings i.e no address entry but with no difference HTTP error 404.
I have deleted the website and recreated it but no luck

Can anyone help

Thanks in advance

Can you post a screen shot of the bindings for the site.  Where is shows the 443 binding in detail?

1. How many IP Addresses on the server?
2. How many sites on the server?
3. Does the site work in port 80 from a browser?

Hi Dan,
1. One IP4 and one IP6 (The site is bound to the IP4 address)
2. 1 site I deleted the other 4 test sites and restated IIS
3. Yes with no problem

OK, and no other sites are using an SSL Cert on this IP? correct?

Can you post some http log activity that includes the successful (error 200) hits on the http site and the Not Found (error 404) hits via https?

What content is the site hosting?  static HTML, asp, aspx, php, etc.?
