I have a clean build of Hyper-V 2016 on a HP Microserver and I have given it a static IP address on my existing Windows domain and joined it to it. I can connect to it using Remote Desktop from my Windows PC so all seems OK there.
I downloaded and installed "Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (SP1)" and added Hyper-V Tools through Window Features.
I now have a working Hyper-V Manager running on Windows 7 and have used it to connect to my new server "MYHYPERV" but the Hyper-V Manager reports "The operation on computer 'MYHYPERV' failed"
Not sure what it means by "failed"
