Hello Experts,

I would like to setup a project on AWS which will allow me to accept credit card payments.  Which AWS service or 3rd party service works the best (and is clear to setup?)  I am at the stage where I am looking at a high level and I do not have any specifics.  I saw that there were 2 potential providers from the AWS marketplace, but one lead to "no website found" error,  I can't believe that there is only 1 option, so that is why I am here.

I do know that the project would be dealing with subscription billing.

Thank you,

Fox

have you looked into Amazon DevPay https://aws.amazon.com/devpay/ maybe this would work for you.

I looked at that, but thought it was for the marketing of apps in the Amazon Market Place.

For taking payments, I would recommend looking into a third party - such as braintree or stripe.    They both have pretty decent libraries for the major coding languages.

A big bonus to using a third party is that most of the security/compliance is covered by them. Though, on your end, you'll have to make sure you have end-to-end encryption (pretty easy to do with AWS Elastic Load Balancing and AWS certificate manager) and that you don't store any of the credit card data.
