Office 365 Business - Global Admin Local portal user and Domain User

I setup Office 365 Business with my Domain account, then I setup the Azure Directory sync and now I have two accounts in the User Section.  One appears to be a local portal login account and the other is my actual domain account.  I cannot assign a license to myself (by switching to my domain instead of the onmicrosoft.com domain) because it says my local portal account is using it,  

How can I make my domain account my only Global Admin account or do I need to create some other login account for the Portal?

I hope that made some sense...

That did work - I changed it and now I can assign the software to myself.  

I am having other issues now - but I'll see If I can work it out
