The power switch can certainly be the issue, but I find that to be rather rare.  Rather than go through the trouble of replacing it, follow the wires from it to the motherboard, unplug the connector, and short the two pins on the motherboard together with a screwdriver.  If that works and the power switch does not, then the switch or wiring is suspect.

Its DEAD we can't beat a dead donkey back to life ---- can we---- unless we consult with Frankenstein---- power supply are so cheap these days----do not waste your time unless you know how to fix it. then we'd be having a different discussion.
i only replace parts - not because they're cheap, but because i have an indication it is bad
so i would test the power supply without load first - and measure the output voltages - before repalcing
but that's me - i don'tlike making waste mountains
No ---Green -----no power----- no matter how much you push the power button it isn't  turning on back that is because its dead- -- no load or load ---does not matter to a power supply if its not working.
that's what you think - but it can be caused by external parts also

as for bringing dead alive - i take it you heard from electroshock?  they do it every day
