Is this IP address ESXi or vCenter Server?
ASKER
the ESXI

OK I guess I can't login to the ESXI anymore... is there any way to have both?
When you added ESXi to vCenter Server did you select Lockdown?
This prevents direct logins to ESXi and again now you have vCenter why are you going direct to ESXi

thanks again!
No probs
1. ESXi host directly (if you know the root username and password)
and
2. vCenter Server (which uses a different username and password)
vCenter Server is a management server, used to manage hosts and VMs, once you have vCenter Server, there is no need (unless for troubleshooting) you need to directly login to ESXi.
So..... what is your issue, what error mssage do you get, a screenshot would be helpful.
