Email, Exchange Server 2007,

Having intermittent problems receiving email from particular address's. For example, the recipient has successfully received email from an individual on 3/16 but not on 3/30. "550 5.7.1 Missing purported responsible address"

Ideas?   Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That message tells that the FROM in the mail header is malformed (non-RFC), and there is a strict check involved (e.g. for SPAM detection). Compare the email headers of both mails to see if there is a difference in FROM.
