"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is there a unique value in the query results?  Does the serial number need to be permanently associated with the row it appears on, or do you just need to number the rows in the query results?

The only unique field can safely be the ID no of the record.

This is needed to build and expression for a set of "Promissory Notes" like 1/9, 2/9, 3/9 and so on ...  9/9.

am open for any suggestion.

Thanks a lot

Hi paul,,,

Yes, I need to save the value of the record no into a field on my table after embedding it with some other value.
I hope this helps you.
