Allow external user to access sharepoint online

I want to know what the best way might be to allow a group of people to access my internal sharepoint site.  I would prefer them to be able to use their own email address as their login, if possible.  Ex: userone@gmail.com instead of userone@mydomain.com.  Is this possible?  If so, what is the best way to accomplish it.

Thanks!

It is possible via the External/Guest users feature. Read more about it here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Share-sites-or-documents-with-people-outside-your-organization-80e49744-e30f-44db-8d51-16661b1d4232?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

They will need to have their email address configured as Microsoft account (in order words get a free outlook.com account and associate it with their email address), and you need to send them an invitation. There are also other methods to make this work, as detailed in the above article.
