Allow external user to access sharepoint online

I want to know what the best way might be to allow a group of people to access my internal sharepoint site. I would prefer them to be able to use their own email address as their login, if possible. Ex: userone@gmail.com instead of userone@mydomain.com. Is this possible? If so, what is the best way to accomplish it.
