I just installed 2016 SSAS. I am trying to deploy my cube but I keep getting this error. In 2008 there was windows service you could stop and for Analysis service. I dont see that service with the 2016 version. I am running Windows 2012. Any advice on how and where I start this service?

If you wan to see the 2016 services you have to open the Configuration Manger for 2016.

If you open 2008 service configuration manager, it won't display the others.

You can also directly start or stop the service using "Services" application.

Now to solve the deployment issue. User actual instance name rather than local host.

ASKER

Yes I understand yes I looked at the services and Config manager but I dont see a SSAS Services. Now yes there are services down because I am in the process of uninstalling all of SQL 2016. So I can start all over again. Which bring me to another question is there a wizard to remove all these components or I have to go 1 by 1.
