Odd Coloration

Last Modified: 2017-03-31
I Have an old computer that I run dos on and I noticed it sometimes flickers and has an odd coloration. purplish to be exact. I thought the vga port was going bad, so I bought 2 new(old) graphics card off of ebay and to no avail the coloration issue persisted. I have other computers attached to this kvm monitor as well and no others have this issue. What do you think could be the problem?

It is also reasonable that the monitor is on its way out. I have seen the same thing (same coloration) before and it was the monitor.

It was a bad cable. I wish I tested that before buying the new card. But no worries its good to have extras! It's funny because I didnt think to check the KVM or cables until I wrote out my question on here. Thanks for your quick feedback guys!

I figured it out before you suggested. But this indeed was the best solution. Thank you for your help!
