Xendesktop MCS
If I create a 2000 Desktops in XenDesktop using MSC, How many clone Machines required on Hypervisor?

I thought whatever the method is, we created Desktops as same amount of Machines have to be there on Hypervisor.
Still not really understanding your question.
In XenDesktop, a "machine" is a device (physical or virtual) that has not been assigned to a delivery group.
A "desktop" is a "machine" that has been assigned to a delivery group.
If my hypervisor has 128 cores, 512GB of RAM and TBs of storage, I can create just one machine/desktop or hundreds or thousands.

Sometime I so much confused with XenDesktop, PVS and MCS.
Let me guess it now, I created a Catalog from VM which is there on Hypervisor and choose 500 Machine there. So Its gonna created 500 VMs on Hypervisor ?

Yes. 500 VMs will be created using the naming scheme you define when creating the Catalog.
If the naming scheme is UserDesktops###, then 500 VMs and 500 AD computer accounts will be created starting with UserDesktop000 through UserDesktop499 in whatever OU you specify. The VMs will be created in the same location (folder in vCenter) where the master VM and its snapshot reside.
You can use the FREE Citrix XenServer to test all this in a lab. XenServer comes with a one-year license and XenApp/XenDesktop comes with a 30-day trial license.

so, Big environments like who want 15000 vDesktops for employees need to maintain very big Hypervisor resources with running 15000 VMs. Better to go for Application Virtualization rather than full Desktop that burns money and resources.
yes, citrix strategy say: create and mix the systems that user needs.
create published apps for task workers (80-95%) and published desktops (shared from server or dedicated from VDI) for special requirements.
shared apps or desktops from server need a fractional amount of resources compared with VDI.
i create my servers with PVS. It's simple to manage versions and we get fresh systems every night.

Thanks Carl, slowly I'm digging into it. It is useful information
That assumes your hypervisor storage has the space to create your 2000 desktops which would depend upon the type of desktop you are creating: Random, Persistent, Full Clone, or Full COpy.
