Setting up Windows Fax server - Must it be on the same server as print server ?
I have 3 VM's
1. Is PDC DNS DHCP and DNS and Print server
The other is RDS gateway and Terminal server
The third is running a sQL server with an app which is severely underutilizing the resources
I am considering putting the Fax server on the 3rd server but want to know if I MUST put the fax server on the first one .

No you don't.
If you using printers from Print Server to print incoming faxes all you need to do is share it and install on server where you planning install Fax Server.
If you planing install Fax Server on VM then is going to be a little complicated configure access to Fax Modem since you must configure dirrect access for VM to COM port.
Maybe it would be better if you will install Fax Server on VM Host ?
