Cant Extend Laptop screen

Hi,
Using HP Elitebook 8400 G1 (Windows 7 x64 ) , it got build by wrong drivers,  means it got imaged with HP G3 drivers, I have installed the right drivers for this laptop but even then I am not able to extend my laptop screen to a monitor (Dell), I have installed a driver for this monitor as well, changed cables, changed monitors, but none of the monitors detects the laptop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Display drivers as well, so far nothing has worked.

Anything I am missing?

Possible there is an issue with one of the services..  if you have a service called recording and monitoring
this could actually cause the issue.

I have had instances once I have disable this service, the monitor behaved normally..

Thats if you have this service loaded on your computer..

the first thing to check is: are you able to see the second monitor showing under Control Panel > Display once the external monitor is plugged and powered on?

You must install the driver from below link, select your operating system correctly,  uninstall the older completely, restart, install new driver from below link.

I had a similar issue with USB drivers years ago on XP with which I had to remove the driver INF
This seems to be the end result of this tool, please try
