Dear Colleagues,

I have a problem with executing SU command in Ubuntu 16.04.02. LTS.
The output is « -bash: /bin/su: Permission denied » (see attached screenshot).

Plz suggest something to overcome this issue.

The root password is not set in Ubuntu.

When installed, the non-priv admin account is added to sudo to do everything needed.

So, "sudo <command>" or "sudo su -".

"sudo su -" works like a charm, thanx!

sudo -i is the correct way to invoke it in linux and that's been in the man page for a good many years.  The other ways are for older sudo or for older POSIX systems, like AIX, that never modernized their tools.
