2008 R2 time server is invalid
I was trying to fix my DC because the time was not syncing. I stopped then w32time service but when I try to start it, it gives me error "the service name is invalid". What could be wrong? I cant find the service in the "service list" on the server.
You need to register Windows time service , if its not on the list
elevated command prompt:
w32tm /register
elevated command prompt:
w32tm /register
ASKER

I cant find the service in the "service list" on the server. You can also export service from Registry on a working computer (PDCe needs to be NTP with NTP IP and others NT5DS), import and restart
Try below in elevated command prompt.
net start w32time
