I am trying to move my IMAP files from the old host account to a new host account by moving them in Outlook, so that they will then sync/upload into the new account.  But it keeps on hanging with the "not responding' screen.

Is there a fairly user-friendly program that I can use to copy the emails directly from the old server to the new one?

I have seen some posts online, but I don;t know how to so server command-line stuff .

Thanks!

IMAP reliability varies greatly from host to host.
I would export the old host to a PST and import to the new and let it sync that way.

If I export and then import, when do I give it the credentials of the new site?  Won;t it just try to sync with the old site after I import it again?
