NTP time source for DC
The domain controller that acts as the time server isn't doing a good job at keeping time. Its a 2003 server and its a VM. I know it needs to be buried and will be this summer and I have read that vm's have a drift in time.
When I run net time /querysntp I get the response 0.pool.ntp.org,0x8 1.pool.ntp.org,0x8 2.pool.ntp.org,0x8
I am not sure what the 0x8 is. Can you tell me if this is normal?
I am going to recommend that we change the time server to a physical machine and not a VM. Should I sync the time on the physical server with an external source?
