Oracle cluster with iSCSI storage - multiple targets or single target with multiple LUNs?
We're setting up a small (4 node) Oracle cluster on shared iSCSI storage (QNAP SAN). There will be three LUNs shared between the cluster - Data, OCR, and Vote. Is there any advantage or issues with setting all 3 LUNs up on the same iSCSI target, or should they all be on separate targets?

I realize QNAP isn't the best choice, but as Luciano noted it's also not a tiny little small business NAS box. It's an EC-1580-MU-SAS-RP 15 drives (mix of SSD and HDD with fast SSD cache). However, we're recovering from Violin Memory's meltdown/bankruptcy and our Violin unit is on its last legs. We were supposed to get replacement flash modules for it and have since been told that all support is cancelled. So this is what the budget could support for the moment to get us off of it quickly. (And to be fair, QNAP support has been remarkably responsive when I had to file a ticket about one of the cache modules going offline.)
The system is configured with the QNAP, 4 Oracle nodes, and 1 reporting node. All nodes as well as the QNAP are connected by dual 10 GB HBAs running through two switches. Given what you're saying, I've reconfigured the LUNs to each have their own target. Thanks for the assistance!

EC-1580-MU-SAS-RP is a good QNAP. Again not the best choice for Oracle, but still a very good Storage for mid-size solutions.
Violin Memory bankruptcy left many costumers with big issues to resolve regarding Storage and support.

I question your choice of storage for this project. You pay a lot of money for Oracle. You have a four node cluster, so uptime is important. So is performance. QNAP is hobbyist grade equipment. It has no business in a production environment. Have you ever tried to get support from them? What would you do if the system needed repair? Could you ship it back and wait 7 days for repair?
