Microsoft Access 2016 Bug?

Hey Experts. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I have experienced it on my machine and on a client's machine through VNC and again on a computer I'm connected to via RDP.

As I am designing a form for example, I often use the right-click option to align controls or whatever... I can do this occasionally without any issue but then it suddenly locks up -- I'm unable move the mouse, etc. --- it happens continually -- I compact & repair, backup, decompile, whatever and it persists.

I updated my Office installation and it is still happening. I tried to Google it but don't find any "known issues" related to this.

Attached is a screenshot of how it looks when it locks up -- can't move the mouse -- have to close and reopen ...

You didn't provide the screenshot but I'm running 2016, both on my desktop and through RDS, and have not experienced anything like what you describe.

My first thought would be video issues, followed very closely by connectivity issues (for the remote sessions). It would NOT surprise me to find you have these sorts of troubles through a VPN session. You should never attempt to do any design work over a VPN. Instead, pull the ENTIRE .mdb/.accdb file to the desktop, do the work, and then push it back.

RDS is different, of course. You can do design work in an RDS session, but of course you could have similar issues in that environment, depending on what sort of infrastructure is being used in the RDS environment.

Looks suspiciously like video issues. Be sure your video drivers are up to date (as well as Office and Windows). I had something very similar happen to me with 2013, turned out to be a dead fan on my video card.
