When I open an Excel file the Ribbon doesn't default to Home.  When opening Publisher, only headings show, not the Ribbon.  What can I do to correct this?

The CTRL F1 works, but you have to do it each time entering Excel, etc.  Doing the repair suggested by John works all the time and was easy to do.  Thanks!
