iphone 7 internal storage not showing up on laptop

I am trying to transfer some photos off my iphone 7. I have plugged my iphone in and it registers and i click trust. I then click into my device and internal storage comes up saying 3.86GB free of 29.5. I click into it and its empty?? i cant get any folders up or see any photos/videos. Any suggestions please?

Be sure to Unlock the phone lock screen First,  then connect it to computer.

Also go to control panel > Autoplay > Devices,  and make sure in front of your device name Choose a Default  is Selected.

Make sure you using a Genuine Cable , Try another cable and retest.

Make sure your IPhone and ITunes ( on PC ) are Updated with the latest Version.

If the above does not work, try to do a soft reset by:

press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons

You will see the Apple logo on restart.

Unlock the screen in your iPhone 7 and run iTunes in your PC before you connect the PC via the bundled USB  cable.

try this go into control panel ------ install and uninstall program------ look for apple mobile support and uninstall it

go to apple.com download itunes ------- once finished -----use 7zip or winwar and extra iTunes to iTunes folder choose this option from 7zip or winwar. open up the itunes folder and double click on applemobile support and reinstall it to your computer------ reboot your computer and reconnect the iphone.

You should have installed iTunes. Update iTunes to the newest version will fix your problem.
