Creating a VM with System Center 2012 R2

Someone else installed Virtual machine manager and is no longer with us.  When I try to create a new VM via the wizard, the OS will not install.  I create the new VM with a blank virtual HD, name it, check Hyper-V under compatibility, select existing ISO image under Virtual DVD drive, configure the HD and memory, check connected to a VM network under the adapter.   When I launch it after it is created, it acts as if the OS is starting to install but if never does.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

Are you creating a generation 1 or 2 vm? For the latter you need to change the boot order.
