Upgrading to SQL Server 2015 Express

Is this the latest version and, if so, can I anticipate any compatibility issues upgrading from 2010 Express on my desktop if my web server is running 2012 Web (IIS 8.0).

Thank you!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I assume SQL 2015 Express should be SQL 2016 Express, and yes that is the latest version.
I'm not certain if SQL 2010 Express refers to SQL 2008 R2 maybe or SQL 2012?

You can install the SQL 2016 Express in a test environment, and test your database and web application, and monitor for deprecated feature requests, and test whether it simply breaks the application.  But there isn't anything inherent in SQL 2016 that I would anticipate breaking -- it all depends on what features are being used.
