Exchange 2010 to exchange 2016 migration, need to go back to 2010

I am migrating 2010 to 2016, everything went well and i have about 6 mailboxes migrated to the new server.  The new server is also handling inbound and outbound traffic and the old one is just holding the rest of the mailboxes.
How can I move those roles back to 2010 as my 2016 server is unreliable and having hardware issues like crazy.  Id like to get it more reliable before having it in production.  Do I just point the traffic to the 2010 box instead of 2016?  They both have the certificate etc.
This is the guide I used for the migration

Better you focus on fixing hardware issue. Or You setup new server and move everything to new 2016 server.
