You assigned a port on a certificate? Please explain.<br />

As for me you import a certificate to iis.<br />
In iis you go to the website, make an https binding (normally 443 but you change this) and select a certificate to be used for this website.<br />

Yep, this is what I did.<br />

I assigned the certificate to my site and change the port to 8082

Why do you want to change the port? If you already have a site on 443, just use host headers

I agree with what every one has said. &nbsp;But something to think about: &nbsp;Security.<br />
<br />
Port 443 is labeled the standard port for https. &nbsp;Of course you can use any port you want as long as that port isn't in use on your server by another process. &nbsp;Now, if you decide to use a non-standard tcp port for https, you will have to do the following:<br />
<br />
1. Open that port on the server thru the Windows Firewall service<br />
2. If the service is to be visible on the Internet, you will need to have your firewall/security admins allow that port thru to your server.<br />
3. Inform your clients/customers that you are using a non-standard port for https so they can open their firewalls to allow traffic on that port<br />
4. Notify your clients/customers how to access the site when it does not use the standard https port (mentioned above)<br />
<br />
So you can see, unless this is for a DEV or TEST environment, it is not user or sysadmin friendly to configure away from the industry standard ports.<br />
