How to best choose short cut keys for an application and how to check conflicts with Office.
I am creating hotkeys for an application in connection with a VSTO Office addin.
I have started with control + alt + F and control + alt + T. I have a European keyboard so I have a special key Alt-GR which is actually control + alt. In case you are not familiar with this see here.
These have worked well even when Office had focus. Now suddenly today when I use them the T key combination makes the TM sign and F creates a footnote.
How did these suddenly get turned on? Can I turn them off? How am I supposed to choose keyboard shortcuts that do not conflict with Microsoft?

I dont have addin express but that link is very interesting. It is not easy to get addins to handle keyboard input, anyone know what addin express does here?

I know in Word Options > Customize Ribbon > Customize I can find shortcuts but how can I find my exact one, or ones that are not taken?
Edit: For example they seem to be assosicated with Normal.dot? Is this right? How can I programmatically change them?
