Suggestion and comments when implementing SCOM & SCCM 2016 in existing environment ?

People,

I’d like to know what’s your suggestion and comments regarding implementing SCCM and SCOM 2016 in the existing multi-site Data Centre environment for my environment below?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/cloud-platform/system-center-solutions

Because at the moment, my current IT environment is spread across three different cities in

Site1: 2 Data Center, 2 site offices [250 workstation users, 45 physical servers, 89 VMs]
Site2: 1 Data Center, 2 site offices [100 workstation users, 30 physical servers, 100 VMs]
Site3: 1 site offices [90 workstation users, 15 physical servers]

Most of them running Windows and VMware:
Server: Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2 up to 2012 R2 and few Linux servers.
Workstation: Windows 7 and Windows 10 and few MacOSX
Mobile device: Apple iOS and Android
Network device: Cisco routers, ASA & switches, HP switches and PaloAlto Firewall

At the moment I’m using multiple monitoring tools & software to achieve multiple things:

Workstation: LANSweeper
Server Monitoring: Solarwinds IPMonitor
Network Monitoring: PRTG
Server and Network Trending & Capacity planning: Zabbix [this is the only reason I use it and for capacity planning as well]

Can SCCM and SCOM version 2016 be implemented to replace those multiple old monitoring software above?

What are your challenges or cons when using SCCM/SCOM?

Thanks in advance

SCCM does not do monitoring.

Scott and Mr. Singh,

Thanks for your suggestion and comments.
My goal here is to consolidate the monitoring tools into SCOM rather than using Zabbix for trending & capacity planning, Solarwinds IPMonitor for Server and PRTG for Network appliances.

Can SCOM achieve that ?

Does SCOM also supports graphics trending, historical pattern and for the capacity planning as well like Zabbix ?

So how is it licensed with SCCM ?
Licensing is not my strong point. With System Center, there are two licences. Server and client. For SCCM, SCCM Server is free and 99 % companies have licence built in the windows client licence.

For SCOM, I am not sure. But if you are a govt department, System Center is basically free.
Thanks Guys !
